Work from 3rd year in College, where I collected objects from skips, 2nd-hand shops and general interesting rubbish from bins to create a room/atmosphere of memories. Each item on display did in one time have a personal reason or use in some situation and collectively these objects placed in the space hold that essence of nostalgia. I wanted to let the feeling of remembrance flow though the space so one could relate to things – be it through the sense of chaos, colour, textures, bits of objects etc.
This some of my work which I created in 4th year where I was trying to intergrade painting and my installation work which I had created in 3rd year.
This work was at the start of Post grad year in Crawford College when I was trying to finish up the bag of plaster I had from my Degree show, trying to move on from degree show plaster piece is a reason why I stop using plaster and started with colour….
